TempHUB Dental is a revolutionary way for dental practices with temporary vacancies to be matched with the perfect locums for their needs, and for dentists, nurses and hygienists to make the most of their free time by filling it as a locum and getting paid to do so. But who are TempHUB dental, and why did we create this platform?
Who we are
We are Amar and Ramesh – two UK based dentists, and co-founders of TempHub. We’re not just another pair of recruitment agents, we’re both dental practice owners and, between us, have several years of experience within the field of dentistry.
What we do
TempHub is our new, digital platform for hiring locum staff within dentistry. We wanted to create a service to revolutionise the locum hiring market and make it more accessible, transparent and autonomous, whilst being more cost effective for its users.
Our platform uses innovative technology to create a more efficient and easy to-use process than the pre-existing, outdated method of locum hiring. We do this by cutting out the middleman and giving the power of choice back to you – the end users!

Why we do it
As practicing dentists we understood the frustrations that come from hiring locums through an agency, as we have experienced both sides of the process first hand! As practice owners we feel that the current system is inefficient, with the added step of using an agency serving only to drive prices up, and slow down the speed at which we could get locums in when we needed them.
The anonymity of agency hiring also means that there is a huge variation in the quality of the locum pool, with the agencies placing candidates based on who is available, rather than how suitable they are for the required role. The TempHub platform eliminates these worries by providing a meeting ground for practices and locums, without having the middleman standing in between them.
We also aim to make hiring locums cheaper for practices, and allowing locums fairer remuneration. TempHub achieves this by cutting the extortionate rates charged by agencies, and instead charging a far more reasonable fee for using our platform. By charging significantly lower rates than the 40% charged by some agencies we can lower the cost to practices, whilst allowing locums to receive a much fairer portion of their fee.

Fair Pay
One of the most frustrating elements of hiring or working as a locum is the arbitrary fees demanded by a recruitment agency. They often result in practices paying over the odds, and locums being under-remunerated. The TempHUB platform allows you to negotiate your own rate of pay in a way that leaves both practice and locum satisfied.
Quality
We believe that one of the most important aspects of hiring a locum is ensuring that they are well trained and well equipped to complete the job that they have been hired for. Our in built reviews system allows TempHUB users to leave honest feedback, allowing practices to hire the best locums, and allowing locums to negotiate rates to match their high standards.
Bringing all these pillars together has allowed us to build a platform that empowers those who use it, inspires confidence in the system and most importantly allows practices and locums to communicate between themselves in a way that has never been seen before in the dental industry.
